How Often Do Southern Californians Move?

http://www.yelp.com/biz/crosstown-movers-san-diego
According to studies held by the California Moving & Storage Association, Californians move on average once every three years.  Under normal circumstances, students, military personnel, and singles between 24-35 are the groups who move the most frequently, often once or more per year on average.

While at the other end of the spectrum, persons with salaries exceeding $100,000 per year find themselves moving just once every five years on average.

Is Everyone Moving Out of California?

Although California was amongst the hardest hit by the effects of the Recession, the economy is slowly recovering and people are moving out of state less and less each year.  Net population loss peaked in 2005, and more people have moved out of the state than into the state in each year since 2000, however birthrates have kept the overall population in California on the rise.

Those who have moved out of state have mostly moved to Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, and Oregon, likely because of better job markets and lower costs of living.  Those on their way inbound have also mostly come from the states of Texas, Arizona, and Nevada.

California's population currently hovers around 36 million, which translates into one of the largest markets for moving services on the planet.  San Diego Movers are especially lucky because we serve a 'World Destination', and a hot spot for students, military, and tourism, which ensures a nearly year round need for moving services.
